Installing the Unified Linux Driver (uld)

You need to download the Linux software packages from the Samsung website to install the printer software.

  1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer and powered on.
  2. Copy the Unified Linux Driver package to your system.
  3. Open Terminal program and go to the folder that you copied the package to.
  4. Extract the package.
  5. Move to uld folder.
  6. To make install.sh file executable, use the command chmod +x install.sh
  7. Execute “./install.sh” command (If you’re not logged in as a root, execute the command with “sudo” as “sudo ./install.sh“)
  8. Proceed with the installation.
  9. When the installation is finished, launch printing utility(Go to System > Administration > Printing or execute “system-config-printer” command in Terminal program).
  10. Click Add button.
  11. Select your printer.
  12. Click the Forward button and add it to your system.
